Susan is a Little Johnny Team Leader. Susan is a nationally certified school psychologist, SC certified school psychologist II and Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist. Since entering the field of special education in 1998, Susan has worked in Richland School District Two, at the SC Department of Education and for the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs serving across the years in collaborative roles with people with disabilities, their families, state agencies, stakeholders, professional associations and advocacy groups to strengthen the system of service delivery for not only students, but South Carolinians from birth to end of life with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. As a member of the Superintendent of Education’s Advisory Council for the Education of Students with Disabilities since 2016, Susan has represented the SC Association of School Psychologists and the SC Council of Administrators of Special Education serving as vice Chair and Co-Chair of the Safe School/Social-Emotional Committee. She also served two terms as the National Association of School Psychologists state delegate to South Carolina and two terms as the South Carolina Association of School Psychologist President as well as the Legislative Committee Chair representing the school psychologists in public and private practice. In August 2021, in order to spend more time with her growing family and support the field of school psychology, Susan entered the private sector as a school psychologist for Little Johnny, LLC. She serves Lexington School District One and Aiken County Public School District. In order to further support families of children with disabilities, she regularly delivers training in special education-related topics for the Family Connection and serves on the Unumb Neurodevelopmental Center’s Board of Directors. In addition to her professional career, Susan has three children who attend Richland School District Two schools.
Elizabeth Buckner is a dedicated School Psychologist who is passionate about advocating for students’ needs from a strength-based perspective. She values close collaboration with students, their families, and multidisciplinary teams within schools to support student success. Elizabeth is committed to continuing her education, especially in the areas of education law, special education compliance, and behavior modification. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's degree in Experimental Psychology, earning leadership distinction in research. Elizabeth then earned both a Master of Science and a Specialist degree in School Psychology from Winthrop University. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, licensed in both South Carolina and Georgia. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys volunteering for Camp Cole, a local non-profit organization, where she serves individuals facing life challenges, including disabilities.
LorriEllen is a school psychologist who has extensive experience in behavioral interventions for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). LorriEllen believes that students with ASD benefit from a comprehensive evaluation designed to identify unique strengths and weaknesses for each student. LorriEllen believes that this information is key to designing effective interventions to support student growth across relevant areas. LorriEllen is a school psychologist who has provided services to a wide age range of students across many districts within the state of South Carolina. In the preschool arena, LorriEllen believes it is important to have a thoughtful introduction to special education as parents and families seek assistance for their preschoolers. At the elementary level, it is important to encourage quality academic and behavioral interventions to promote success within the educational setting for our young learners. At middle and high levels, it is important to assist special education students with becoming their own advocates as we seek to meet educational and emotional needs while also focusing on transitioning out of the public school system.
LorriEllen served as a Crisis Prevention Institute Trainer. Extensive training in the deescalation of students has been invaluable when working with students with significant behavioral and emotional challenges. LorriEllen also provides consultation in the area of behavioral interventions and supportive services to equip educational staff in supporting students with needs in this area. LorriEllen is a certified school psychologist in South Carolina. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University. She earned degrees in school psychology (masters and doctorate) from the University of South Carolina. When she is not assisting school districts and working with students, LorriEllen enjoys serving in her community, leading a Bible study, and watching NFL football while snuggled with her cat.
Jeanie has been a member of the Little Johnny team since 2018. She is retired from
the State of Georgia, where she spent 24 years as a school psychologist in the public school system. She also worked as a school psychologist in Ohio for nine years earlier in her career. Jeanie holds an undergraduate
degree in psychology from King University, a Masters degree from the University of Georgia, and an Educational Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University.
She also completed extensive coursework as a doctoral student at Ohio State University
during the 1980s, under the advisement of Dr. Jack Naglieri. Jeanie is certified as a School Psychologist II and Tier Elementary and Secondary Principal in SC, and she remains certified as both a school
psychologist and administrator in Georgia. She and her husband David have two children, Brannon and Ellie.
Lizette Charping is a School Psychologist who is a uniquely qualified member of a school team that supports students’ ability to learn and teachers’ ability to teach. She believes in the holistic approach to helping children succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. Lizette Charping has provided school psychological services in multiple settings and has
experience completing diagnostic evaluations specifically with the Autism Spectrum Disorder population. She believes in educating the next generation by being an adjunct professor at Francis Marion University and wishes to pursue her doctoral degree at the same University in
the near future. She is a certified School Psychologist in the states of South Carolina and Georgia. She additionally holds a Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist (LPES) license as well as a National
Certified School Psychologist license (NCSP).
When she is not supporting students, she can be found playing and having fun with her young daughters, being outdoors, and/or on the pickleball courts.
Wenjun is a school psychologist who specializes in psychoeducational evaluations for preschoolers and elementary school students. Wenjun believes that everyone has the ability to learn and the role of the educator is to find the best way to teach.
Wenjun has provided school psychological services in multiple settings in three different states. Currently she is planning to attend courses to obtain a certificate as a bilingual school psychologist. In addition to being a certified school psychologist in South Carolina and New York, she is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). Wenjun holds a doctoral degree in School Psychology from University of South Florida.
When she is not working with students, Wenjun enjoys handcrafting, gardening, and spending time with her two beautiful girls.
Sarah is Little Johnny's PRN Coordinator. Sarah grew up in Mt. Pleasant, SC and earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She completed the School Psychology program at The Citadel in 2010. According to Sarah, since beginning her career, she has been lucky to call Lexington, SC home. Prior to becoming the Evaluation Coordinator, Sarah was a contractor with our company and a part-time school psychologist in a school district.
Lisa Duffy is a school psychologist who specializes in psychological evaluation for students suspected of having a variety of educational disabilities. Lisa believes that by gathering data for a comprehensive evaluation, teams are able to make the best decisions regarding special education eligibility and services. Lisa has provided a variety of psychological services across many districts in South Carolina. She has led district teams by facilitating manifestation determination review meetings in many schools. Currently, she is working towards obtaining certification in additional states to be able to help more students and school teams. Lisa holds certification in South Carolina. She earned a Masters degree and an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology from The Citadel. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston in psychology. When she is not helping students and school teams, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Most often she is found on a baseball field or in a dance studio. Her family enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures.
Mitra is a school psychologist who works closely with her schools in making data-driven decisions for students who demonstrate academic or behavioral needs. Mitra believes that the input and collaboration of each team member are essential for the success of a student. Mitra has provided school psychological services primarily in South Carolina. She has specialized training in the administration and interpretation of the ADOS-2. Mitra has presented on topics that include detecting and intervening with potentially violent students. Mitra is currently studying how to better support districts with the MTSS process as a school psychologist. Mitra holds a bachelor’s degree from Anderson University in Psychology and obtained an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S) in the area of School Psychology from Baylor University. When she is not working, Mitra enjoys exploring the “next new thing” with her family. If she isn’t in a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, you can find her cheering on her favorite sports teams.
Lillian is a Little Johnny Team Leader. Lillian joined our team following retirement after serving a public school district as a staff school psychologist for 28 years. Lillian is a Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Specialist degree in School Psychology from the University of South Carolina. Lillian has worked with students of all ages but she especially enjoys the early intervention opportunities of the elementary school level. In her free time Lillian enjoys cooking, sewing, traveling and camping. Lillian’s husband is a retired high school teacher and they have been married for 25 years. They have two children, ages 22 and 20.
Elena is a nationally certified school psychologist who provides psychoeducational evaluations for preschool, elementary, and middle/high school age students. In the field of school psychology, Elena believes in the importance of comprehensive assessment, data driven decision making, and collaborative solutions to support the process of service delivery for all students. Elena has experience working in multiple settings across numerous school districts in South Carolina and has also worked with the Developmental Pediatrics division of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where she completed research on the role of executive functioning on adaptive skills in children with epilepsy. Elena is passionate about supporting students with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and is currently working to further her knowledge and experience in assessment of multilingual learners, as well as earn her LPES. Elena graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree from Clemson University in 2013. She earned her Master of Arts in Psychology and Specialist in Education in School Psychology (Master’s +30) from The Citadel Graduate College in 2018. Elena is currently based in Charleston, SC where she lives with her husband and bulldog, Murphy. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and playing video games.
Phillip is a school psychologist who specializes in psychoeducational evaluations for preschoolers suspected of having developmental delays. He believes that early intervention is the best intervention, which often starts with a comprehensive evaluation to determine the specific needs of each child. Phillip has worked in both North and South Carolina providing psychological services to a wide range of individuals, ranging from two-year-olds to twenty-one-year-olds. Phillip has received specialized training in managing crisis situations with previous certifications in Professional Crisis Management and Behavior Tools. In addition, Phillip has completed post-graduate courses in professional counseling to enhance his psychological services provided to schools and families.
Phillip has a particular interest in staying abreast of legal issues and ethics within school psychology and special education. He frequently seeks out professional development opportunities in these areas to help his school districts remain in compliance with the complicated and ever changing laws that govern special education, with the ultimate goal of better serving his students. Phillip is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, holds a School Psychologist Certification with the South Carolina Department of Education, and is licensed as a Psychoeducational Specialist with South Carolina’s Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Winthrop University and later a master’s and specialist degree in school psychology from his alma mater (Go Eagles!). Outside of school psychology, Phillip enjoys woodworking and playing in his band. He has three beautiful daughters that occupy most of his free time and an incredible wife that accompanies him on life’s crazy adventures. His family enjoys traveling, having tea parties, and hiking nature trails.
Aimee is a school psychologist who specializes in psycho-educational evaluations for students suspected of having a disability under IDEA. Aimee believes that all students have strengths and weaknesses, and that both should be considered when determining the best educational programming for a child. Aimee has served as a school psychologist for many years in Connecticut, at all levels, and enjoys working with the middle and high school population most. Aimee has been working as a school psychologist in South Carolina for the past two school years. Aimee has a background in ABA therapy, where she enjoyed working with preschool children on the Autism spectrum. She holds a Masters degree & Sixth Year Certificate in School Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University, which she obtained in 2011. When she is not assisting districts and working with students, Aimee enjoys spending time with her friends and family, relaxing by the pool or lake, and attending country music concerts.
Alicia is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) who specializes in psychoeducational evaluations for students that have suspected learning disabilities, cognitive impairments, ADHD, Autism, and developmental delays. She also works with teams to help create solid behavioral plans in order to make sure a student is successful socially/emotionally and behaviorally. Alicia believes that the first step in serving students successfully is collaborating with both the parent/guardian and the school team and making sure that everyone on the team, including the student, has a voice and is heard. Alicia has been a school psychologist since 2010. She has worked her entire career in South Carolina, but is also certified in North Carolina. Alicia is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), South Carolina Association of School Psychologists (SCASP), and the Palmetto State Teachers Association (PSTA). Alicia obtained her bachelor's degree from Creighton University in 2008 and her specialist degree from The Citadel in 2011. She is interested in learning more about current research, specifically with children who have been affected by trauma and how schools can meet their mental health needs. When she is not working with students or school teams, one can find her traveling, spending time with her husband and son, or cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Creighton BlueJays.
Bill is a Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist and the owner of Little Johnny, LLC. Before beginning his career in education, Bill served four years in the United States Marine Corps infantry. From 2012–2018, Bill was the Director of Special Services in Lexington School District Three. Prior to this position, he was the district’s school psychologist for nine years. From 2005 to 2014, Bill was an adjunct instructor at Midlands Technical College and Limestone College. Bill earned his Doctor of Education in Administration Leadership from Morehead State University. His Specialist and Master of Science degrees in School Psychology are from Winthrop University, while his Bachelor of Arts is from USC-Aiken. One of Bill’s most cherished accomplishments was being named Advocate of the Year in 2011 by the South Carolina Council for Exceptional Children.
Rachel is a school psychologist who specializes in psychoeducational evaluations for elementary and middle school students with a suspected disability. Rachel believes that assessment is a critical part of helping teams understand the “whole child” and helping students reach their potential. She has worked as a school psychologist in urban, suburban, and rural communities. In addition to assessment, Rachel also has experience counseling middle school students with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and autism. Rachel has completed several trainings on anxiety and mindfulness, and she has led student groups and professional development workshops for school staff in these areas. Currently, Rachel is interested in pursuing further education in the assessment of students with autism. Rachel is a certified school psychologist in Massachusetts and South Carolina. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Brandeis University and a Master of Education degree and Education Specialist degree in School Psychology from the University of Massachusetts - Boston. Ashley is a School Psychologist who is passionate about focusing on the strengths of students in order to target their weaknesses. Ashley believes that all students are able to obtain academic success when their needs are targeted using a strengths based approach. Ashley also enjoys helping parents/guardians to understand that they are their child’s biggest advocate. Ashley received training on Cross Battery Assessment for the purpose of identifying a Specific Learning Disability. She has had the opportunity to provide professional development to school based teams on topics like district procedures, child find responsibility, confidentiality, and the use of the C-LIM (Cultural Language Interpretive Matrix). Ashley has also had the opportunity to serve as a School Psychologist across several age and grade levels. This includes preschool to 12th grade. While she enjoys working with secondary students the most, she feels the greatest joy when working with secondary students who are placed in what is typically referred to as an alternative setting. Ashley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Masters in Applied Psychology, and a Specialist in School Psychology all from Francis Marion University. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family, hosting family gatherings, binging Greys Anatomy, and listening to podcasts!
Merritt is a School Psychologist who specializes in psycho-educational evaluations for middle and high school students that have suspected learning disabilities and ADHD. She believes a strength-based approach is imperative to helping students succeed. Before working in education, Merritt worked as an intake coordinator for a family counseling center and was pursuing a degree in counseling before making the switch to school psychology. She has training in PREPaRE, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Suicide Risk Prevention and Intervention. Merritt earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Masters in Applied Psychology, and Specialist in School Psychology degrees from Francis Marion University. Merritt served her first two years as a school psychologist in Lexington-Richland School District Five before joining the Little Johnny team. She is currently pursuing licensure as a Psycho-Educational Specialist (LPES) as well as the Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential. Outside of working with our amazing students, Merritt enjoys spending time with her husband and doggies, working on home renovation projects, and watching true crime documentaries.

Rachel Pickel is a School Psychologist who is dedicated to promoting students' academic achievement, mental health, and overall well-being by working collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and the broader school community to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Rachel believes in the value of comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and their positive impact towards meeting the individual needs of students with disabilities. Rachel has provided school psychological services to learners ranging from preschool to high school ages. She has worked in both public and private school settings throughout the state of South Carolina, helping identify and support students with varying needs. Rachel is a Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist and holds a Specialist Degree (Master’s plus 30) in School Psychology from Winthrop University. Currently, Rachel is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and continues to seek learning opportunities in areas related to neurodivergent student success. When Rachel is not supporting students and staff within her schools, she can be found chasing around her four year old son, Finn, or snuggling her baby girl, Scout. Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, reading a good thriller, traveling to new places, and spending time outdoors.
Sims is a school psychologist who works with students of all age groups, to help identify and manage a variety of developmental and learning disabilities. Due to her husband’s military service and medical training, she has worked in numerous states and districts around the country: Connecticut and Virginia, as well as Dorchester District Two and Berkeley County in South Carolina. Sims believes in a comprehensive and whole-child approach to evaluation, where all strengths and weaknesses must be considered to gain a complete understanding of the student as a learner and a person. Sims has been trained in the Cross-Battery Assessment method of Specific Learning Disability identification, having completed a 21-hour XBA Certification Program through Dr. Daniel C. Miller’s School Neuropsychology Institute. Her extensive use of the XBA approach has provided her with a better understanding of students’ cognitive profiles and how specific strengths and weaknesses can impact a students’ academic (and behavioral) performance. Sims is also trained in the administration and interpretation of the ADOS-2, and she is currently pursuing professional development opportunities for
assessment of older individuals referred for autism evaluation (i.e. adult students).
Sims is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and a certified school psychologist in both South Carolina and Virginia. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Furman University in psychology and a specialist degree (master’s +30) in school psychology from Auburn University.
When she is not working with students, Sims can be found trapsing around Charleston (her hometown) with her husband and two children, trying to decorate her new house, reading psychological thrillers, or training for some kind of running race.
Tori Rhinehart is a School Psychologist who is passionate about providing students with comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and advocating for students’ needs. Tori knows that early identification and intervention are vital in giving children the best opportunity to reach their full potential. Tori has experience providing school psychological services in South Carolina and North Carolina. She enjoys continuing her education in all areas; especially in Autism Spectrum Disorder and trauma. Currently, she is working towards becoming a licensed School Psychologist in Nebraska and Georgia. Prior to pursuing school psychology, Tori was an Early Interventionist where she provided developmental instruction to children experiencing developmental delays. Tori is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and a South Carolina Certified School Psychologist, Level ll. Tori received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University. She received her Master of Science in School Psychology and Specialist in School Psychology degrees from Winthrop University. When she is not collaborating with school districts or working with students, Tori enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading, and traveling.
Amanda is a school psychologist who specializes in comprehensive evaluations for preschool aged children. Amanda knows that every child progresses at their own pace; however, she passionately
believes the benefits of early intervention improve children’s long-term outcomes. Amanda, a parent of young children herself, recognizes that this process can be scary and seem overwhelming. Her goal is to work collaboratively with families and education professionals to better support preschoolers in their early education. Amanda has provided school psychological services in various settings in three different states. She has specialized training in the administration and interpretation of the ADOS-2 and has obtained certification as an ADHD clinical services provider. Amanda has given both educator and parent discussions on the
topic of ADHD, and continues to study this topic to further her own knowledge.
Amanda is a Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist (LPES) and certified school psychologist in South Carolina and Georgia. Additionally, she is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). Amanda
holds a bachelors degree from Wells College in psychology and a specialist degree (masters +30) in school psychology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
When she is not assisting school districts and working with (adorable) preschoolers, Amanda can be found traveling with her husband and two sons, cheering for the Buffalo Bills, or playing soccer. Also, if
needed, Amanda is great at recommending bingeworthy television programs.
Nicole Shimek-Langrud is a school psychologist who specializes in collaboration and consultation. She believes that developing a trusting and honest relationship with team members is vital to creating a cohesive plan for individual students. Nicole facilitates referral and eligibility meetings for students in which she collaborates with both parents and school personnel to create the most appropriate plan for students based on their concerns and areas of need. She also consults with fellow school psychologists to review evaluation plans and results in order to share information with both parents and school personnel in a friendly yet informative manner. Nicole has provided school psychological services in multiple settings (including in-person and virtual/online services) and is licensed in several states. She has specialized training in evaluating students for Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has also provided mental health trainings to districts using the Youth Mental Health First Aid curriculum. Currently, she is working to expand Little Johnny Psychological Services in Nebraska. In addition to being a licensed school psychologist in Nebraska and South Carolina, Nicole is also a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in psychology and a specialists’ degree in school psychology also from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
When not facilitating meetings or consulting with others, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys spending time outdoors (but not during Nebraska’s winter!), baking, and reading.
Tanner Sullivan is a School Psychologist who strives to develop meaningful, professional, and helpful relationships with the team members he works alongside. Tanner believes that it is necessary for teams to fully understand the procedures and data that is important to consider when making decisions about a child’s education, and is most fulfilled when he can help his teams make well-informed decisions that improve student outcomes. Tanner initially became curious about the field of Psychology due to interests in neurology and human behavior. He has worked with Little Johnny LLC. full-time since completing his graduate degree in 2018. Since then, he has enjoyed serving multiple districts and schools around South Carolina. Recently, he shifted from working as a Traditional School Psychologist to a LEAN position, where he has learned how to balance the needs of multiple districts. He continues to have special interest in behavior analysis and intervention. Tanner received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Winthrop University, and currently holds a Master of Science in School Psychology along with a Specialist Degree in School Psychology. When he is not evaluating students or collaborating with school-based teams, Tanner enjoys an array of hobbies such as hiking, camping, carpentry, making pottery, and traveling with his wife.

Tiara is a School Psychologist who enjoys collaborating with parents, teachers and students to identify ways to help all students succeed academically, socially and emotionally. Tiara believes that a strong school to home partnership is essential to students’ growth. Tiara has worked in schools across South Carolina as a special education teacher and enjoyed her time in the classroom greatly. Currently she is working on strengthening her skills as a School Psychologist and plans to remain in this role for the foreseeable future. Tiara is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and is trained in PREPaRE (1&2,) Acute Traumatic Incident Processing, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and also in the interpretation and administration of the ADOS-2. Barbara Criss is a school psychologist who currently helps facilitate IEP meetings. Barbara believes that working with a team to help problem solve for students is a very important aspect of services that school psychologists provide. Barbara has previously served in various capacities in several school districts in South Carolina. Working in public schools for more than 40 years, Barbara has held a variety of positions. In addition to fulfilling the traditional role of a school psychologist, Barbara helped develop and implement the Response To Intervention program in Lexington School District One. She has also worked with preschool special needs students, served as a Director of Special Education, as well as a district 504 Coordinator and ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) coordinator. She has also served as President of South Carolina Council for Exceptional Children and has served on the board of the South Carolina Association for School Psychologists.
Barbara has her PhD in School Psychology from the University of South Carolina. When she is not working with students and their families, Barbara enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and cooking.
Sarah is a School Psychologist who specializes in developing interventions based on a students specific needs and in conducting comprehensive evaluations for students suspected of having Specific Learning Disabilities. Sarah believes that when students are able to access the appropriate interventions and services in either the general education setting or special education setting, that all students can thrive. Sarah has worked as both a Special Education Teacher and School Psychologist in South Carolina. She has worked in both traditional public school settings as well as in a Montessori Charter School setting. Over her career, she has been interested in developing and helping to implement behavioral interventions in the school setting. She has completed several training sessions in this area. Sarah holds a Masters and Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology from The Citadel. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Clemson University. She also holds a Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist certification. When she is not working as a School Psychologist, Sarah can be found spending time with her husband and three young children, reading, practicing yoga, going to the beach, and exploring the outdoors.
Muri is a school psychologist who specializes in special education compliance, preschool evaluations, and MTSS and RTI development and implementation by providing a wealth of knowledge of legal, practical, and best practices to ensure all student’s educational needs are being met. Dr. Howle has provided services in 2 South Carolina school districts as well as provided private evaluations and consultation for parents. She completed her Ph. D. in Educational Leadership in 2020 from Clemson University and her Ed. S. in School Psychology from Kent State University in 2013. Dr. Howle is also a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and a Licensed Psychoeducational Specialist (LPES) in South Carolina. When she is not conducting evaluations and providing consultation, Dr. Howle enjoys crafting and reading.
Lorraine has over 18 years of experience in education and 10 years as a school psychologist. She has obtained an AA in Early Childhood Development, AS in Psychology, BS in Social Psychology, MS in Psychology and Specialist Degree in School Psychology. Lorraine has recently completed the Applied Behavior Analysis program through Clemson University. Currently she is enrolled in a PsyD program in Clinical Psychology. Lorraine has experience with monolingual and bi-lingual (Spanish and English) families, evaluating individuals from 2 – 21 years old and providing behavioral services. She has obtained licensure in Florida as a School Psychologist and licensure in SC as a Licensed Psycho Educational Specialist.
Catherine is a part time psychologist who offers private evaluations to families and also provides services to local districts, including meeting coverage, evaluations, conducting functional behavioral assessments and helping develop intervention plans. At this time, her current role with Little Johnny is limited to weekends, summer, and other times when she is not working in another local school district. She has a particular interest in helping students transition from high school to college and provides evaluations and support to help students seek out potential accommodations in college. Catherine believes in the importance of hearing from the student, family, and teachers to best understand learning and behavioral needs and to develop interventions that work for all. She is committed to helping students help themselves and find their own intrinsic motivation. Catherine is a Past-President of the SC Association of School Psychologists. For many years she also served on the their board as the Program Chair. She has also served on committees for NASP and has been an adjunct faculty member in the USC Doctoral School Psychology Program.
Catherine has provided school psychological services in multiple settings in three different states since beginning her training in the mid 1990s. She has specialized training in the areas of crisis and loss response, behavioral threat assessment and suicide risk assessment. Over the course of her career has published research and presented at conferences on the following topics: bullying prevention, detecting the early warning signs of violence, and responding to crisis and loss in the schools and community. In addition to being a certified school psychologist in South Carolina, she is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and is a Licensed Psychologist in South Carolina. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Wofford College in psychology, a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Western Carolina University and a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of South Carolina - Columbia. She completed her doctoral internship in Denver, Colorado in the Cherry Creek School District.
When she is not assisting school districts and working with students, Catherine can be found at her children’s sporting and music events, working out at the gym, enjoying the outdoors on her small family farm, and occasionally taking a nap or reading under the trees in a hammock.
Kimberly is a school psychologist who specializes in psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Kimberly believe that identification of a student’s individual strengths and weaknesses is imperative for effectively supporting each child in achieving their full potential in the academic setting and in life outside of school. Kimberly has provided psychological services both in the school and private practice settings. She has specialized training in the administration and interpretation of the ADOS-2. Currently, she is working in a private setting in which she is gaining experience in conducting neuropsychological assessment to obtain comprehensive understanding of an individual’s abilities.
In addition to being a certified school psychologist in South Carolina, she is a licensed psychologist in the states of South Carolina and Virginia. Kimberly holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and studio art from Furman University (Greenville, SC) and a doctoral degree in school psychology from the University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC). When she is not assessing children and young adults, Kimberly can be found spending time with her family (husband, two young children, and two dogs), playing board games, and watching movies.
